Mountain Range VII
The work draws inspiration from direct observation of nature, especially the dialogue between solid elements—mountains and tree—and dynamic ones such as water and sky. My goal is to capture the tension between permanence and transformation and translate it onto the canvas through texture, color, and movement.
I aim to offer viewers a sensory experience rather than a narrative. They may find serenity in the balanced composition and the calm reflection of the water. At the same time, vitality and energy emerge through loaded brushstrokes and strong chromatic contrasts. Depth appears thanks to differentiated planes: the tree in the foreground, the mountains in the background, and the water as a transition.
I want the observer to perceive nature as a living system, always in dialogue between stability and ephemerality. For this reason, I chose an impressionist approach with the impasto technique, which generates texture and volume. This method highlights the pictorial surface and reinforces the idea that matter itself carries meaning.
The subject of landscape condenses universal symbols: mountain as stability, tree as life, water as fluidity, and sky as transformation. Oil paint, versatile and dense, allows me to blend colors and create tactile surfaces that vibrate with light. Through this medium, style, and subject, the work emphasizes sensation over detail and invites viewers to experience it with both sight and emotion.
