Mountain Range II, the inspiration is born from the immensity and silence of the foothills. I did not seek to paint an external element, but the strength of the earth itself: the green plain that stretches infinitely at the feet of the mountain. I wanted to capture that absolute peace emanating from the horizon, where the mountain range acts as a protective wall and the ground dresses in its finest colors. This scene is contemplated by the trees that enjoy it, integrating into the ecosystem as witnesses to the serenity of the Andes.

The viewer is invited into an immersive experience of color and calm:

  • Peace: It is transmitted through the vastness of the green field. The gaze loses itself in the plain, finding a mental refuge in the stability of the landscape.
  • Vitality: The vitality does not come from the movement of water, but from the intensity of the color. The light hitting the pastures and the slopes generates a vibrant energy, a “cry” of organic life emerging from the stone.

As an artist, I used physical matter to give weight to nature:

  • Matter and Relief: The use of the spatula and the impasto technique allowed me to create a rugged texture. The oil is layered on the canvas so that the mountain and the trees have a physical, almost sculptural presence.
  • Chromatism: The contrast between the deep blue sky, the ochre peaks, and the electric green of the plain seeks to highlight the purity of the Andean air. Every stroke aims for the viewer not just to see the landscape, but to feel the density of the grass and the solidity of the rock.
